The Charlotte Dance Gypsies will hold their annual Holiday Ball, opening with 2 hours of waltzing, followed by carol singing and pot luck supper (so bring your favorite covered dish to share) and a contra dance beginning at 8:00. A beginner's workshop will be given before the contra dance.
Live music by the Elftones.

A What? Contra Dance is a high energy, non-competitive, social dance form. Prepare to sweat. Each dance is taught briefly so no experience is needed. Patterns resemble a madcap square dance requiring thinking and fast reflexes so all venues are substance free. Newcomers welcome be they youths, seniors, or somewhere in between.
